I’ve always been a fan of killing two birds with one stone. You know, like riding a bike to run an errand thereby getting a task done and getting fit.

Let’s start by defining what a lifehack it.

Lifehack (noun):

a strategy or technique adopted in order to manage one’s time and daily activities in a more efficient way.

I’ll argue, and share some ways, that lifehacks can also save you money. So without further ado, let’s get started…

At the Center of Nonviolence Stands the Principle of Love – A Tribute to MLK

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. day! I’m reminded that kids all across the country get to stay home from school today and make snowmen or snow forts, at least here in the midwest. Kids in other parts of the country might be playing on the beach. 🙂

Additionally, there is no mail or banking today because this country has taken a day to observe the life and sacrifice of Dr. King. I, along with many others, do have to work today. However, that doesn’t mean I cannot observe the significance of this day, this man and the sacrifice he made for civil rights in our country.

The Significance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

I suppose there could be someone reading my blog from another country who isn’t fully aware of exactly who MLK is so I’ll give a brief summary. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. earned his Ph.D. in systematic theology. He was a Christian minister and an activist/spokesperson for the civil rights movement. Dr. King was born on January 15, 1929, and assassinated on April 4th, 1968. What made King’s work so powerful is that he believed in advancing civil rights through nonviolence and civil disobedience.

A Year in Review and Embracing a New Decade with 20/20 Vision

January 6, 2020 By Deanna 4 Comments

Hello, I’m excited to be publishing this post regarding a review of my 2019 and more importantly a forward-look into the coming year and decade! Last year I wrote a post about creating the sustainable habit of goal setting. I even wrote a mid-year review check-in like I set out to do. Although, I’ve been dreading my end of the year review mostly because I’ve failed at completing all of my goals.

About Me

My name is Deanna and I am happy to be on this redemptive path. I got sober from drug addiction/alcoholism in 2010 and returned to a faith in Christ. Additionally, I finished digging my way out of debt in 2017. Today, I’m learning to be a wise steward/investor of my resources while helping other women find their victories too. More about me.
